Hooligan Race 2 is in the books

Six, count ’em, six bikes in the lead group going through the infield on the final lap of Super Hooligan Race #2 of the 2025 Daytona 200 weekend. A few seconds of shuffling and bar-banging action later Travis (#10) leads onto the banking. This is not normally where one wants to be. The draft at Daytona is so powerful, the lead bike often does not win. But with no other choice at this point, Travis rolls onto the banking with five bikes chasing him. Four riders behind tussle with each other, searching for the draft advantage. Travis is closing in on the win, only seconds away from the checkered flag.

Then a remarkable thing happens. The bike that is in sixth uses the draft of the bikes in front of him and comes flying forward, seemingly out of nowhere. Final result? Travis takes second by 0.032 seconds. Wow what a race! Sure makes my heart pound fast watching the bikes fly around the high banks at Daytona. And with two second places, each loss by only thousands of a second, #10 is off to a great start to the season. Go Travis!

Race 1 Super Hooligan at Daytona 200

The first race of the season is behind us, and what a race. Travis #10 put his Saddlemen Racing Harley-Davison on the front row of the grid. After a six lap chase, he was perfectly positioned to take advantage of the complex draft on the banking that makes Daytona unique among MotoAmerica race tracks. Coming out of the infield in P2, he used the draft and pulled out to pass for the win. His Harley hit the rev limiter and he missed out by 0.042 seconds. Truly less than the blink of the eye (0.1-0.4 seconds).

A heartbreaking loss, but a podium finish in the first race of the season is a great way to start the year. Travis also set the fastest lap of race 1. Race 2 is next.

2025 Season Is Upon Us

The action starts today at Daytona Beach. All of the winter planning and hunting for sponsorship and testing comes together this weekend for 200 miles of intensity. This year I will be sponsoring Travis Wyman #10 in Super Hooligan racing on a Harley-Davidson. Look for the KlinglerThrillers tag across the top of Travis’s face shield. To watch all of the qualifying and flag to flag action, visit www.motoamericaliveplus.com.

As I write this at 3:15 PM Pacific Standard Time on March 6, 2025, Travis is sitting on provisional pole with a lap time of 1:51.397. It’s going to be a nail-biting trial-by-fire for the new bike that was developed over the past few months. Wish us luck.

Engines are Revving

The racing at Daytona Beach has begun. King of the Baggers was a wild ride with a very close finish. And Travis #10 was doing great in the Roland Sands Super Hooligan race on his Saddlemen Harley-Davidson Pan America. While positioned in second on the last lap, and ready to take advantage of the famous drafting opportunity after the last corner, a technical failure interfered and we ended DNF for that race. A really fun but frustrating start to the first season of klinglerthrillers racing.

Today is the Daytona 200 and the second King of the Baggers (KOTB) and Super Hooligan race. Each promises to be a wild ride from start to finish. If you’re not at the beach to watch it live, you can check it out at motoamericaliveplus.com for a stream of highlights or the entire race.

Go fast. Go far.

The Season Begins on the Beach

March 7, 2024 and the teams and bikes are all at Daytona Beach getting ready for a 200 mile race 48 hours hence. This is the first season that I have been associated with professional racing. Klingler Thrillers will be sponsoring Travis Wyman (#10) in Stock 1000 (BMW M1000RR) and also in the King of the Baggers on a Harley-Davidson Road Glide and in Super Hooligan racing on a Harley-Davidson Pan America. Watch for KLINGLERTHRILLERS.COM on Travis’s faceshield, leathers, truck, and bike. I have been a fan of motorcycle racing for many years. But this is the first time that I have had the good fortune to be associated with a team. I am greatly looking forward to the thrill of competition, and I hope you will join me by following along. — _/oe /<.
